Gen. Semnolius Simon, 1902
Type specie Semnolius chrysotrichus (2 recognizable species [6 speces in WSC]).
Compare with other genera in vol. I at Semnolius
REMARK. Simon 1902 has described his species in Ocntotelus, transferred to Semnolius by Zhang & Maddison, 2015: 24 without documentation. Remaining species described by Mello Leitao !
COMMENT: Zhang & Maddison, 2015: 24 could have reasons to suspect congeneric status of Semnolius and Ocnotelus, although basing that merely on "extremely similar palp structure" (which is pretty uniform within EUOPHRYINES ) seems a little bit short of proving that. Type specimens collected from the same locality and by the same collector. Synonymy of two genera is one of the most important happenings in taxonomy, yet WSC generally neglects to provide bibliographic data of synonymy decision, unaccompanied by drawings - an unfortunate example is synonymy of Ocnotelus and Semnolius by ZHANG & MADDDISON (2015 - Zootaxa 3938 (1): 24.

New and poorly known leaf-litter dwelling jumping spiders from South-East Asia (Araneae: Salticidae: Euophryini and Tisanibini). Arachnology 18(6): 521-562.
Vocabulary remark: "Inept" means: bad at something, hopeless, useless, rubbish, incompetent (Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary & Thesaurus © Cambridge University Press). The author of the genus does not explain to whom he dedicates that patrimonious name Tisanibainepta.

Tribe Tisanibini Maddison 2015: 244
Proposal oversplitting Salticidae, seems to be redundant - J.P.
According to Logunov, 2020: 561 inccludes 6 genera and 28 species: Lophostica (three species), Saaristatus (one species), Sadies (five species), Thaiattus (one species), Tisaniba (the type genus, 12 species in two subgenera Loeblica and Tisaniba), and Tisanibainepta (six species).

REMARKS: difference of internal structures of epigyne in the above species suggest status of separate genera, term "secondary spermatheca" is misleading and require backing by precise morphological study. ATTENTION: Salgado & Ruiz, 2017: 433 have transferred species "Nebrida" mendica and "Nebridia" manni to the genus Truncattus ("T from Amphidraus, of which Nebridia was a syn"- the WSC commented, but did not display information WHO tranferred them from Nebridia to Amphidraus !!!).
