Note on illustrations. This introduction to classification
of Salticidae includes only species defined by diagnostic illustrations in
the taxonomic literature, arranged by similarities of embolus and spermophor.
Images are displayed as thumbnails to save space and allow for rapid scanning
of theoretically closely-related species. Thumbnails are small versions
of illustrations in other parts of the monograph, whera are displayed
together with particulars of their sources and permissions.

1902 (5 species)
Type species Nannenus syrphus.
DIAGNOSIS. Cymbium bent into semiarch, bulbus elongate oval, is set obliquely, while anterior part o cymbium, narrow and elongate, is set under angle to it. Tibial apophysis is apically bent, flat, relatively broad. Epigyne with a pair of large grooves, separated by a septum. Copulatory openings posterior, indistinct, followed by membranous ducts running to anterior end of epigyne, where make a loop, of various size, and double back, narrower and sclerotized. Spermathecae elongate, set transversally near posterior end of epigyne. Body with carapace broader than abdomen, the later oval and short. Diagnostic drawings below are integral part of definition.
