Note on illustrations. This introduction to classification
of Salticidae includes only species defined by diagnostic illustrations in
the taxonomic literature, arranged by similarities of embolus and spermophor.
Images are displayed as thumbnails to save space and allow for rapid scanning
of theoretically closely-related species. Thumbnails are small versions
of illustrations in other parts of the monograph, whera are displayed
together with particulars of their sources and permissions.
Gen. Grayenulla Zabka 1992
(8 species)
Type species Grayenulla dejongi.
DIAGNOSIS. Placement of Grayenulla in this group of genera is tentative, based of presence of strong tegular (?) apophysis, usually not very prominent, but fortunately well visible on one of photos of Grayenulla
kiwirrkurra (below), resembling somewhat Tabuina and Yamangalea. There are also two tibial apophyses, however, not particularly prominent. Differs from other genera by squat body and short, robust legs, also chelicerae are short, dentition ids fissidentate. Diagnostic drawings below are integral part of definition.
