Distribution: Europe; France: Charente, Corsica, Vendée; Germany; Italy: Peninsula; Macedonia Republic; Portugal; Spain; Switzerland; Mediterranean.
Comment: also Siwa Oasis. In France more frequently found in South West than I. hamatus. In Corsica, I. hamatus is widespread in dry areas, I. subinermis only in vegetation close to creeks (Montardi, 2007).
